Face Time - #2

Hello, neglected readers of the Maidens' blog!

Sarah has been diligent and consistent in keeping up with her personal blog, but, alas, she can only do so much, whilst Jenny and I fail to put as much effort into the blogging realm as she.  :P

Anywho, here is the much belated sequel to my first Face Time post.

(As a side, I had attempted to post this months ago, and spent a good while photographing these, as well as other, pictures in my sketchbook.  However, when I went to put them on the computer, none of the photos turned out and I gave up.)

And there it is: Face Time #2!

I love this little lady's impish features!  She reminds me of Merida from the movie Brave...

Love-struck is the word that comes to mind with this girl.

The purpose of my Face Time pages is to help me draw my characters with more diversity and expression.  I think I did fairly well with this shy fella.

Rather peeved-lookin', isn't he?  Makes me think of the new BBC's Mycroft Holmes.

Aaaaand, here's an extra drawing for your enjoyment. ^.^

When I was younger, I went through a stage where I drew dragons ALL the TIME.  While I have branched out to different subjects, dragons do manage to pop up every now and then.

Have a blessed day!

The Jade Dragon

Behold! the Jade Dragon!!!
Finally... This is what I've attempted to post for quite a while now.  For those who didn't know, we've been praying that God would provide us with a vehicle for me, which He did, and a replacement for the Pearl (which looks just like the one below except it's white), which He did.  Two vehicles in one week!  I've said it before and I'll say it again: God is good!  Now, all we have to do is clean up the Pearl and sell it... It sounds easy, right?  Yeah...
Does anyone need a good, dependable work-van?  heheh I know, I know, I'm not a good salesperson...
Anyway, I had some more pictures, but decided to just put this one on.  The Dragon is a fully loaded 2006 Ford E150, complete with a 20 inch screen TV, 2 CD players, a DVD player, and four cabinet/storage compartments in the back.  It also has reading lights and some LED lights that give off a soft, blue glow when traveling at night.  We absolutely love it!
ROAD TRIP!!!!!

God really does answer prayers.  It may take a few days, it may take years.  But He answers on His own time and only He knows best.
Fairfarren for now, my friends,

What's Been Happening

Greetings, my friends, and welcome!  I know it's been awhile since we've posted anything, so I'm going to share with you what's been going on in our household.  First off, I finally saved up enough moolah to buy a REALLY good camera, and with the help of an older cousin who happens to be a photojournalist in our local newspaper, I decided on the Nikon D3100 as you see below, and couldn't be more happy with it.  Sharp lookin' camera, ain't it?  ;D

These are some pics I took from my new camera.  Below, is what we call snake bait, though I don't think that's the true name, or is it?  Anyway, they look similar to dragonflies, with the exception of wings and body, maybe. (Dragonfly wing's lay flat when not in motion.)

On the eve of a storm...
We had a picnic down at the gazebo a few days ago and a storm was brewing.

God Bless America

And now, for the part you've all been waiting for! (or at least, I have)
At last, after a long quest of searching He has provided me with a car of my own!  She is a 2004 Nissan Xterra.  GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

I love this vehicle and couldn't be more happy with any other.  This is an answered prayer!!!
Joyfully His,
Elisera

Next post coming soon!  Be sure to check out: the Jade Dragon!
