Art!

Hello!
Sorry for the little wait.
I kinda took a week break!
Haha!
It really wasn't planned... Got distracted and all what not!
But, my goodness!
What a marvelous few days it has been!
The sun is out, the weather is warm, with a slight breeze, and we went on some wonderful walks!
Unfortunately, I haven't taken any pictures of all this...
So here is some art I drew up last year!
I do hope you like them!

Pencil

Pen

Pen and twisty crayons!
Wonderful things, twisty crayons.

Faces are just so wonderful!
I'll have to post some of my more recent art soon.
I haven't been drawing as much as in years past, but my style still changes a little bit over time.

Until next time, dearies!

Since it is a special holiday today, I thought I would show you
my picture I drew today!
It's to thank a friend for giving me chocolate!

Hope you enjoy it!

I still got it!
Whew! It's been a while since I did computer art.

Have a simply marvelous Valentine's Day!

Meet the Artist

Hey, it's me Jenny.
Just in case you don't know me, I am child of God and an avid artist.
I love it!

So, if you are new to this blog, I post lots of pictures!

Pictures of my art and pictures of landscapes and the like!
Some day I shall make a movie!
That is my dream at the moment.

So... That's a little bit about me.
Quite fascinating.
Yup.

Yeah, I'm weird.
But, that's me!

Have a wonderful day!

Artsy Tuesday

Art time!
Today it is digital and I only have a couple pictures, because I am somewhat pressed for time.
Anyway, enough chit-chat!

This guy is on my desktop background right now.
I am quite pleased with how he turned out.

You have already seen this lovely lady.
She was a pencil sketch from Ion's gallery.

Sorry to cut this short but I "have many miles to go before I sleep".
Kudos if you know what I just quoted!
Have a lovely day.

Watercolor Sunday

This is just a little something to make up for yesterday.
I adjusted the colors so you can see it better.

I have been having fun with watercolors, as you can see.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

July 4th!

Hello!
Wow, it is the Fourth of July!
A day to celebrate freedom by honoring our military and veterans, by spending time with family, having cookouts, and, of course, fireworks.
As you enjoy this day, remember those who paid the price for our freedom.
And remember the One who can give you freedom from sin!

Alright, as promised you get to meet my next sketch book.
He doesn't like me that much...
Weird.

He's a superhero.
Ever since I used his secret hide out for my art gallery, he's given me the cold shoulder.

Heehee!
I love dragonflies!
Yeah, I drew this up without looking up a dragonflies anatomy.

Just trying my hand at character designing.

Now, this was the start of something beautiful!
That's me and Julia, by the way.
I didn't actually do that, but I certainly had the urge to.

After this, Sarah got a text tone like this.
Sadly, she doesn't have a helmet to do what this fellow did.

I have gotten a few comments that I draw long necks.
Well, I think that it's graceful.
So there!

Gasp!
Concept art for a Rapunzel Kitty!

You'll meet this little lady later.

Yes, some people like to run their fingers over my non-smudge resistant, pencil, drawings.

Phew!
That was a long one!
I just had a lot of good drawings in this book.

That concludes this tour.
I hope you have a wonderful Fourth of July!

Tuesday Musings

Hi!
Boy, when the internet isn't working good and you've got a full day on the same day when you are supposed to put a post on... Well, you know what happens.
Last Thursday I spent my day making phone calls, texts, and emails.
Getting things ready for a fun swim meet.
Which turned out pretty good.
Then Saturday we, my siblings and I, went with some friends, and kayaked done the Hiwasee river.
That was an absolute blast!
It was chilly, it rained, it got warm, it rained, and then the sun came out!
We had a little bit of everything.
I hope you all had a wonderful week.
And to make it up to you here is a little bit of what I have been doing art-wise.
Watercolor!
I did photoshop it a little bit so you could see the colors.
And here is a preview for Thursday:

Have a blessed day!

Face Time - #2

Hello, neglected readers of the Maidens' blog!

Sarah has been diligent and consistent in keeping up with her personal blog, but, alas, she can only do so much, whilst Jenny and I fail to put as much effort into the blogging realm as she.  :P

Anywho, here is the much belated sequel to my first Face Time post.

(As a side, I had attempted to post this months ago, and spent a good while photographing these, as well as other, pictures in my sketchbook.  However, when I went to put them on the computer, none of the photos turned out and I gave up.)

And there it is: Face Time #2!

I love this little lady's impish features!  She reminds me of Merida from the movie Brave...

Love-struck is the word that comes to mind with this girl.

The purpose of my Face Time pages is to help me draw my characters with more diversity and expression.  I think I did fairly well with this shy fella.

Rather peeved-lookin', isn't he?  Makes me think of the new BBC's Mycroft Holmes.

~*****~

Aaaaand, here's an extra drawing for your enjoyment. ^.^

When I was younger, I went through a stage where I drew dragons ALL the TIME.  While I have branched out to different subjects, dragons do manage to pop up every now and then.

Have a blessed day!

Artsy Saturday

Well, I'm your Vitameatavegemin Girl!
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
That's from I Love Lucy, by the way.
Today, I am posting some art.
It has been so beautiful and sunny in the past few weeks that I haven't been on the computer a whole lot.
We did finish up some hay, tetting, raking, round baling, and square baling (which is loaded and unloaded by hand, and each bale weighs about forty to fifty pounds, nothing serious)
But now, I am finally putting on a post.
Well, here you go!

This is my fear when I can't see the bottom of lakes and deep stuff.
Yeah, I had fun with it.
I'd just hate to see it in real life.

Hmmm... I think I am getting a little bit better with digital painting.
This is a kind of fantastical piece.
Normally I don't like different dimensions and portals and stuff, but I thought it needed something of the sort.

This one is a speed painting, like the first one.
Just quick and sloppy.

They stopped, some people honked their cars horns but as the fog lifted higher above the bridge everyone became eerily quite.
No cars came across, nor did anyone dare to cross it themselves. Richard walked forward, his heart racing. They had released it. A chemical created, by his own brother, to infect water ways.
In their excitement to protect their country, they had done minimal experiments.
The fog continued up the river.
It was spreading fast.

Whoa, that was interesting.
Typed it up off the top of my head.
As you can see, I am not an author, I just thought it needed a little story to go with the picture.

That's all for today!
Have an awesome week.
Until next time, friends!

Drawing Challenge Pics!

Hvedrim, rinurik!  Greetings, friends!
(in my original Norskan language)

This blog has been kinda dormant of late.  We hope to change that.  And in so doing, I've decided to share with you some of my very own art!  For the month of April, I've challenged myself to draw a little something everyday, thanks to a "schedule" from Pinterest.

These were taken using my iPhone, and then fixed using Instagram filters and such. . . So, bear with me.  :]

Day 1: Yourself
I don't really care for this one.  Realistic stuff isn't my strong point.

Day 2: Favorite Animal  :3

Don't have a pic of Day 3, Favorite Food--Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, but here's Day 4: Favorite Place.
Haven't been to the beach in ages!

Day 5:  Best Friend
Of course, my sisters are my best-est friends, but Risa is up there with them.  She's my cross-country pen-pal.

Day 6:  Favorite Book Character

Day 7:  Favorite Word

Day 8:  Favorite Animated Character
Yes!  I admit it, I love the Avatar: Last Airbender shows.

Day 9:  Favorite TV Show
This is self-explanatory, I think.  ;D

Day 10: my favorite candy is Skittles!  (No pic)

Day 11: Turning Point in Your Life
The day my King saved me.

Day 12:  Most Recent Accomplishment
Waking up in the morning!

Day 13:  Comic
Hope you understand this one.  Not the best of pictures.

Day 14:  Favorite Fairytale -- This one I hope to have a picture of soon, once I ink it.  It's probably my favorite of this challenge.  I'll leave you to wonder. . .

Day 15:  Family Picture
My family as Hobbits.

Day 16:  Inspiration
Who is more inspiring than Aslan, an incredible story-version of our King, Jesus Christ?

Day 17:  Favorite Plant
The Poppy flower.

Day 18:  Just a Doodle

Day 19:  Something New
In this case, my bright red skirt, from Goodwill!  ($3.99!)

Day 20:  Something Orange (no pic)  I drew a starfish for this one.

Day 21:  Something You Want
A ships wheel necklace.  Love them!

Day 22: Something You Miss

Day 23: Something You Need
A new computer!

Day 24: A Couple

And now you are caught up!  Don't forget to visit later for the next few!

Blessings,
Sarah
