March 2016

Helloooo!
I'm back and showing you last months pictures!
It was a marvelous month-- sunny, windy, gloomy, rainy, cold....
It had a little bit of everything.
This set is on a sunny day trip to Gee Creek!

It's the new cousin!!
Such a cutie!

Climbin' the swing set.

Dear little friend from far away!
She's a sweetheart!

My growing cuz.
He keeps measuring how tall he is to me!
Almost there, bud!

This dude is already taller than me!
That is, when I'm not wearing my heels.

Finally we got in the river.
It was FREEZING!

Someone was smart enough to wear boots while the rest were
barefoot.

Such a pretty area.
And now, finally, our feet got numb, but our legs hurt 'cause
it was sooooo cold!

Don't remember what that face was for...

Then, the little dudes found the water...
And mud...

Talk about a dramatic looking off into the distance.

Yeah, I don't know what they're looking at.
I probably took this pic when this bud was talking.
He likes to talk.

Well, there is our Gee Creek adventure!
We take quite a few adventures there.
But it's such a beautiful place, how can you not?!
I hope you enjoyed this post!

Until next time, dearies!

Project: Plushie

Hello!
I am running out of  ideas on what to post!
It would be nice to post some writings. I just haven't taken the time to write something down...
So, I thought today I would show you my other interest: sewing!
Especially the cute sewing projects!

I did these two little stuffies last year when I was invited to one of my little swimmers birthday party.
One was for her and the other for her younger sister.
So with out futher ado, here they are!

I do like the designing bit!

Pattern is made and the fabric is cut!

I wasn't planning on it being so bowed-legged, but it worked!

After sewing and stuffing, came the painting.
I just used regular acrylic paint.

Next came the bunny!

Eeee!
Look at that tail!

Hmmm... He's got an Easter-y feel goin' on.

Alrighty!
There you have it.
I sure did have fun with these critters!
I hope you liked them as well!

Until next time, dearies!

Art!

Hello!
Sorry for the little wait.
I kinda took a week break!
Haha!
It really wasn't planned... Got distracted and all what not!
But, my goodness!
What a marvelous few days it has been!
The sun is out, the weather is warm, with a slight breeze, and we went on some wonderful walks!
Unfortunately, I haven't taken any pictures of all this...
So here is some art I drew up last year!
I do hope you like them!

Pencil

Pen

Pen and twisty crayons!
Wonderful things, twisty crayons.

Faces are just so wonderful!
I'll have to post some of my more recent art soon.
I haven't been drawing as much as in years past, but my style still changes a little bit over time.

Until next time, dearies!

The Sequoyah Museum

As I promised, all these pictures are of an event that took place at the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum.
I had loads of pictures of the place but I didn't want to overwhelm you!
Sooo... I hope you enjoy all of my photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

This lady gave a little lesson on the ladies of the Civil War era.
Her husband is a Civil War doctor reenactor.
You'll see him in a bit.

Cherokees doing a couples dance.

A lady making corn husk dolls.

Just standing and talking behind a cannon.

Loved this folding chair!

Southern soldiers.

Look at the magnificent clouds!!

Check out this adorable puppy!
The poor dear was absolutely terrified by the cannon fire!

Here is a battle reenactment.

The South won this battle!
Whoo!

The gentleman with the awesome white beard is the husband of the lady from the first picture.
Now, let me tell you, these two men got into their role very seriously.

Mr. Jarfly.

To cheer this bloke up, all you got to do is take pictures!

What a handsome fella!

Heehee! She didn't want her picture taken!

Our next reenactors.

At the end of the day.
That's me, if you didn't know.
Do you hear the Jaws music?

Wow.
That's a lot of pictures.
I do hope you enjoyed them!
Looking through this folder, I think I may have to do another post of this month!
I have a plethora of car pictures that I took when we stopped at a drive-in diner after the museum!

Until next time, mes amis!
